In this video I test and compare the performance of 3G and Wi-Fi using two iPads side-by-side.
@brett2100 Glad to help! Not all apps downgrade video playback like Youtube does on 3G.
DetroitBorg – Thanks for this video! I *was* really concerned why the YouTube playback looked so ‘fuzzy’ when using AT&T 3G, versus, my home’s WiFi, which looked perfectly clear. I thought something was wrong with the iPad. Glad you cleared this up.
All phone companies have their downfalls, seriously.
I just got the Ipad FREE at ipadhookup. com It is sooo awesome!!
@KabutoTiger64 That is my Apple store, but I pre-ordered these online to avoid the first day lines. I buy surprisingly few Apple things at the store largely because I custom order everything .
Did you buy these at Somerset Mall? I love the Apple Store there.
@earlbee31 Thanks! Hang in there, it’s coming…There is always Ebay too Did you know that 10% of all iPads detected on the net are operating outside of the US?
brilliant vid, still no ipads in the uk yet . ;-(
@johnmonk66 sorry I’m a grown ass woman… I work hard with what I have…which is why I think twice before getting ripped off. I’m an economist..while I’m not cheap I do see what’s beneficial and convenient for my family..AT&T and Netflix just don’t cut it for me right now…its my personal opinion…I feel like they are very limited…I’m the user I have the right to comment. I won’t argue no more…
@johnmonk66 why do I need to read it when I have no complaints for them…AT&T is not so great after all….so stop acting so ignorant…your comments are biased for obsessing over a company who just wants money greedily….I don’t need to rely on small letters and cheap service to make me change my mind about them…for the last time stop being such an ass licker and get a job at at&T…
@JPhillippeMusic Go read your contract and stop repeating your bullshit, you can say it 50 times, it will not change your contract. Why the hell are you even talking about AT&T, go stick your tmobile chip in the ipad and shut up already
@JPhillippeMusic close minded, the ‘poor little me’ bad ass that is on here crying about how ‘they’ are all out to get you. You are paranoid, and you want something for nothing. Everything I have I earned, unlike you who gets everything from your daddy
@johnmonk66 who wouldn’t care…90% of those customers are what gives the company its name…since when r ppl’s opinions belittled to big monopolies money driven greedy schemes. If you don’t care what the customers think then you must be ignorant as fuck to support companies in abusing their customers…just because you have money to waste doesn’t mean we all have the luxury of doing so…ur very close minded.
@johnmonk66 are you getting commission out of this…because you sound like a straight up ignorant fanboy, if i’m telling you I have unlimited with t-mobile is because I do..I tether my android internet to my computer, watch shows, run youtube video, watch movies for quite a while now without them capping the amount of bandwidth i’m using..I’ve never heard of anyone in t-mobile who has had such limitation..so stop hating and go give ur money away to at&t…you must have a lot…goodluck
@JPhillippeMusic Who cares what 90% of customers think, the agreement is in black and white. No, you did not read your Tmobile agreement, there is no unlimited service anywhere
i was a bit disappointed of the Youtube, that was really downgraded and a bit unacceptable, also the ABC player too, what the hell.
But for a 24hours everywhere internet (3G), the bit of slowdown is still alright. (at least i think while you’re walking on the street going online, 4 to 5 seconds delay won’t seem too much of a trouble)
support 3G ipad!
@johnmonk66 you’re very sensitive to consider what I am saying an insult. 90% of customers don’t care about agreementt, they don’t even read em. I haven’t read At&T’s contract because I don”t utilize At&T so stop arguing in vain because you are wrong. I have t-mobile unlimited 3g service, which I tether to my laptop legally to download and watch anything I want. If At&T is labeling unlimited while disagreeing on service agreement with a size 2 font, then they are guilty of false advertisement.
@JPhillippeMusic Instead of typing all those insults, why dont you READ YOUR 3G SERVICE AGREEMENT??? It is in black and white, unlimited “reasonable” usage moron. Just because you are either too stupid or lazy to read the contract you signed, don’t blame AT&T for holding your data usage to the contract YOU SIGNED. No cell service on earth offer unlimited, but why don’t you go join comcast or uverse? No one says you must use AT&T
@johnmonk66 omg get over yourself…noone is asking for a billion dollar service…just what I’m being promised..stop kissing At&T’s ass…they’re the typical monopoly trying to squeeze as much money out of their customers…please they’re not paying the satellites with even half of what we pay, its mostly profits for them..so get your nose out of that ass…also the restaurant analogy is lame and irrelevant when you can eat till you barf. if uverse &comcast can offer unlimited so can 3g.
thats gay, i thought it’d be cool to have the 3g ipad, i guess not, its so much slower…
im not buying the 3G then, failed
@JPhillippeMusic So every resturaunt that offer all you can eat is a scam too? You can’t show up there at 7am and eat until midnight so it is not all you can eat. Once again you are incapable of understanding simple things, you blame AT&T because they will not let you have your own billion dollar satellite to download all you want. You should buy a billion dollar satellite and let me use it all I want for 30 dollars a month
@JPhillippeMusic You don’t get it, do you? Netflix can not offer streaming video until the movie company who owns the movie allows them to. But that is too complex for you to understand, so you just lame Netflix. So cancel your Netflix account then.
@johnmonk66 who is there to blame except the company who is taking a previously present feature. I don’t know about you but I know that many people and myself relied on netflix for new releases and paying a monthly fee to not have this service is a deal breaker to go to other companies like blockbuster…sorry but it is a marketing move on their behalf to gain better streaming content which is yet to be seen.
