The test began with site-loading of three different websites: CNET.com, CBSNews.com and GiantBomb.com. The Android-powered Xoom Tablet easily outpaced the impressive yet tad slower Apple iPad. However, this test was conducted in secured networks but there were unavoidable network interferences that might have affected the actual results. Nevertheless, this is a good measure to consider when contemplating on buying a tablet PC.
Motorola Xoom has proven that iPad no longer holds the top spot in the prestigious battle of tiny machines, which are better known as tablet PCs. There will be many more tests to be conducted to determine which machine reigns supreme. Will it be the defending champion Apple iPad or the worthy challenger Motorola Xoom? The decision is not yet final since the competition just started, but at least it is safe to assume for now that the Xoom took the first round.
