And for Mac (maybe Windows too) there is a program called G.I.M.P that can also produce a watermark and its free also.

Now you should teach them to make a watermark for VIDEOS. As you know, it’s easy in Photoshop (less than a minute if text only), but I don’t know if it’s possible in the free software.

@screamfreak79 yes, the heal tool is a wonderful thing….among other tricks. But I’m pretty sure people can feel safe that their photos will remain theirs. Unless it’s something that is so astounding that everyone wants it. A watermark can help but getting a copyright is the best thing. Without a copyright the photo still falls under “public domain” whether or not there is a watermark.
