my second video on FSX on the new laptop i got. This takes place in New york City. The frame rates are good, i wouldn’t say great because it lags a little. I don’t really mind it, because in my other computer it used to get stuck every 2 seconds it was lika slideshow. This is going smoothly then my other one. I would still recommend getting this laptop for anyone who is looking for something with a good deal with this video card. It is from Best Buy. I checked in other stores for a cheaper price, couldn’t find it…

gtaguy1217

oh which graphics card this one or a different one?

wasifyar

i only get 1.3 or so fps on fair graphics

gtaguy1217

yeah i guess

DaVeTheTaliban

if i got this on laptop u could still use a yoke right

Nenyana

After more testing between different specs I did find this to be true with a 2.85 Ghz Core2Duo beating a 2.0 Ghz Core2Quad, even after the Multi core support patch.

gtaguy1217

ohhh ok

BSTconnor

thats not true fsx runs better on a dual core but really its the GHz that matter microsoft bult fsx that hopefull the GHz would get higher on the intel core 2 duo they did for a little while but soon quad cores came into focus then i5 then i7

Nenyana

Fsx likes more Cores, clock rate is secondary. My clocks are only 2.0 Ghz but because I have 4 Cores, Fsx runs at over 80 fps on my laptop. Also, the GPU can be changed but only if you have an MXM type as opposed to the more common soldered on GPU’s on laptops.

gtaguy1217

The best graphics card that i would say is the 9800 GT. It cost more than a bit more than a 100 but its worth it. =). Or you can get the 4670 for the destop as well its really good. i dont know the price for it though.

anstin92

thanks …do u know which is the best graphics card?

gtaguy1217

yes both of things are possible to change on a desktop.

anstin92

Is it possible to change both things on a desktop?

gtaguy1217

well…on a laptop i’m sure there is a way to change the RAM its in the bottom. I’m not sure about the graphics card. Sorry man you check on Google or Bing.

anstin92

FSX works If I put the scenary settings to medium low, traffic to low and weather to medium high..other settings r in ultra high.
If I increase anything the frame rate will be slower and get stuck.
Is it possible to increase RAM of a computer and graphics card?

gtaguy1217

Ohh lol like this game?

anstin92

ok..thank u…that’s why my new games run slow.

gtaguy1217

the laptop brand is on the title the model is A505-S6965

gtaguy1217

well i’m not that of a genius on technology, but here is my guessing… i think that the intel centrino is a older model of the centrino series and it probably runs a little slower, then the intel centrino 2. Also, I’m pretty sure intel centrino 2 means 2 intel core 2 duo chipsets i dont know about the intel centrino though you can probably go to the intel website and check the differences

AR123457

what laptop is it

anstin92

ok..thanks can u tell me the comparison intel centrino duo and intel core 2 ?

gtaguy1217

Ohhh ok

anstin92

mine is XP

gtaguy1217

well 500 GB means the hard drive capacity and i also have intel centrino 2. I think it means two chipsets of the intel core 2 duo. Is your Operating system Windows Vista or XP?

Wanna say something?
