This is a Gateway Laptop, model MA7. It has a 15.4″ LCD display and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium pre installed with the recovery disks included. This computer has an Intel duo core processor running at 2.0 GHZ, 1 GB of RAM, and a 160 GB western digital HDD (about 149 GB useable). This has a CD/DVD burner, but does not burn dual layer DVD’s. The graphics are integrated and use 128 MB of hyper memory which is shared with the system. As far as ports, you have a mic and headphone jack in front, 4 USB ports, a firewire port, an RJ11 and RJ45 connection, A VGA and SVideo out, a ( I believe) 5 in 1 media reader, and the expansion slot. If you can get the DC power port fixed, this will be a great laptop. I included the AC/DC converter, and I can tell you that that at least works. I will wipe and reinstall Vista Home Premium before shipping. The included battery is a model 3UR18650F-2-QC-MA1. When fully charged this only lasts about 30 minutes. I will charge it before I ship it out to give you the opportunity to …

Many of you have Gateway MA3 / MA7 (MX6xxxx / MT6xxx) notebooks that don’t power on at all. Some of you have replaced your jacks, only to find out that the problem remained.
This problem is due to a short in between the layers on your board – but a skilled technician can still repair it. Precision Division in Clearwater FL repairs this problem in the Gateway MA3 / MA7 notebooks for around a hundred.
