I really appreciate you comparing life to running. In fact often times I think that you have to do something so unrelated to “life” and succeed at it in order to confront life. Running does not have to be directly related to some “life” goal. It can be leisurely. But yes, it can be compared to living life and the obstacles faced in life. Sometimes life is hard, but if we have at least one accomplishment, it is the one accomplishment (finishing the run) that will start the momentum to other aspects in life.

A Split Squad or "SS" next to the team name only happens during Spring Training to get players more live playing time. Half of the team goes to one city while the other half plays in another location. This helps the managers and coaches see how the players react to playing longer games.

This is especially helpful if a player that is in limbo gets more of an opportunity to show his stuff.
