Back up as much as you can from your data. This method is used to install a fresh copy of windows XP and performs a format that removes all your programs, drivers and any personal data on the C drive.
The first step is to insert your windows XP installation disk into your CD drive. Make sure that your Bios settings are set to the first boot device to be your CD drive. Your next step is to make a new partition by pressing C for creating a new partition with the maximum available disk space ( automatically adjusted).
Your next screen is the choice of file system where you chose NTFS that is most recommended for Windows XP and later operating systems. After you chose your file system you will wait till your disk is formatted and your setup process will start loading files and you will be guided through the rest of the simple and easy installation process.
In this Un partitioned Space you should Create your partitions which will be further formatted and one of them will be your primary partition that will contain the operating system.
