How to Update Your Realtek Drivers

The Realtek driver website emphasizes that its Software, driver and firmware download pages on the Business Support Center web site can readily give clients access to software program and utilities, hardware firmware, operating system drivers and other downloads available, to solve problems, maintain, manage or upgrade their Realtek products.

To download files available on the Realtek Business Support Center web site, you have to identify your product first using the product selector before choosing the appropriate operating system and download language. A list of available downloads will be presented to you, which will be classified according to the type of file such as hardware OS Driver, BIOS Firmware, Software programs and utilities, others.

When you click the type of file from the category list, you will be brought to where those files are shown somewhere on the page. Click on the title of the file, if you want to see further information about the download, or click the “Download button to start downloading the file itself. In some cases, a link called “Obtain Software” instead of the “Download button is displayed. This process will take you to additional information or instructions that you have to see before accessing the download or, may lead you to non-Realtek websites.

If your Realtek drivers need to be updated, look for a link on the software/driver page that gives access to a tool that will detect problems with your product. Some tools may be specific to your product. Others have a more general purpose. Instant Support Professional Edition is a good tool, which will analyze errors in your product, look for drivers or other files that have to be updated with a download and recommend the relevant file. If you want to determine the best driver to download and install, find links to documents or tools that can help you, like Instant Support Professional Edition, which is an excellent tool that will check the status of drivers on your PC against what files are available for download. It will recommend the best fit, if you need an update.

Problems Updating Realtek drivers

However, Instant Support Professional Edition is not presently supported for all Realtek products. You might try browsing or searching for documents that describe the issue you have encountered or the improvement you are attempting to make, if you cannot find a suitable tool to diagnose your Realtek product automatically.
