are the 4 “doc icons” on the home screen changeable? (phone,email, browser, applications)

I used my friends captivate and its a cool looking device. But the web surfing is painfully slow. And touch wiz is pretty bad. I’ll stick with my droid x.

the phone looks and sounds like it’s really awesome…but it’s still at&t.. personally, i have no experience with at&t..However, it seems like u would have to constantly make sure u close apps and things that are using data because of at&t bullcrap data plans that are setup to bank on customers going over usage so they can charge outrageous overages on the bill since there is no unlimited data anymore…how is it like having a smartphone on at&t right now with their setup??

I wish all these new smart phones would come out w/out the stupid ATT or manufacturers logo on front. IMO it takes away from the clean and sleek look the phone has. Take a page out of the Apple book and leave it for THE BACK!!!

I already returned mine due to all the problems it has. The gps does’t work worth shit, it drops from 3g constantly, it drops calls more than the iphone does.. It is one of the worst phones I’ve owned…BEWARE

@npr101010 There is plenty of denying. You’re basing the claim that it’s faster based simply off of specs; I’m basing it on real world performance. Testing the iPhone and the Captivate, the latter is certainly fast, but lag is still very noticeable in certain instances. It compares unfavorably against the iPhone 3GS, nonetheless the iPhone 4.

great phone. easy to use, practical. much better than my old unlocked sprint phones. processor is much faster, i love using them. the gps and email are great for my business and my partner loves his for the speaker phone he’s always on that thing. our new unlocked gsm phones have a great web browser, we can check out stocks in less than one click!! my wife and daughter love theirs for the faceboook, games and apps! also got our samsung unlock codes and blackberry unlock codes for free! got our last couple captivates at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up

I can certainly see that happening. But I think when they review problems in general there will probably be a few others – maybe less important problems – so they all get lumped together as things to be fixed without drawing a lot of attention to the one important one.
