deron Juan and DJ Reflection testing Serato on Acer Aspire 8″ laptop $229!!!!
Holy Crap…SSL1.9.?
that runs very good…
I think i will test it with SSL 1.8. and make a video ![]()
Thank you Greetz from Germany
yeah i think that was the ssl1.9
Which Version of Serato Scratch did you use on the Netbook?
A guy at best buy told me a netbook wouldn’t be powerful enough to run programs like this and tried to suggest a bigger laptop…fuck that guy. But yeah I saw a bunch of nets at best buy that had firewire ports.
Seems hard to find one. I’ll just get one of the MSI Winds that has a 160gb hard drive. Plenty of space to store music for many nights.
some of them do, but they havethe smaller input and not the standard one.
This is a long shot, but does this netbook support Firewire? That’s the only way I can connect my external hard drive.
Does anyone know how this works with an external drive hooked up?
Do u have problems or some delay when u load musics? I have Acer A110 8inch and it´s so slow when I load musics… Playing, scratching or b2b is very good, with no delay, but when its loadin and insertin musics on serato turntable, it´s very slow…
What latency you managed to get this running on ? Mine seems to crumble slightly at around 4-5 … just wondering if anyone has it on 0 yet, as I love to scratch and find it just a little bit wierd with the tiny delay :-s
I just bought an acer 1,6ghz, 120 HD and 1mb ram and so far so good im a little hesitnt to take it on a gig but i will giv it a shot after a few staright hour of practice at home. You just have to change the resolutions setting.
are you serious i wouldnt have thought these lil laptops would work with serato , and i was thinking of getting one just for that, but by looking at what type of processor it was running off of i thought it would not work .
yeah i tried a mini HP at first and it was horrible… with this all u do is go into the display settings and change the resolution.. if it will not let u change it..uncheck the “hide…..(cant remember the rest) and then change it to 1024×768
wtf, i tried to get serato ti run on hp2133 but the poor thing just froze..
the 1.2ghz VIA cpu is soldered into the mobo so a drop-in upgrade is impossible (mobo replacement may work tho in the future).
i have been using a 12″ HP TX1340EA but that has just died), so i’m waiting for a dell vostro 1220 12″ lappy in the post, coming soon, to run it on..
i dj on forcefm using serato each and every friday, you can listen at forcefm . net (remove spaces) every friday 7.30 to 9pm GMT every friday
ey bro how u get
serato installed to
the laptop
u have to go into the display properties, settings, and advance and on the monitir tab check or uncheck the hide modes this monitor cannot display.. and then u will have more resolution options… and u wanna choose 1024×768
How did you get ssl running on that little screen? Im trying to run ssl on mine but it wont even start. It says the screen needs to be 1024×800 when most of the mini laptops go up to 1024×600. Dope video none the less
yeah I have put it thru a pretty thourough test.. and i know other that use netbooks exclusively….. 80G HD, 1.6 Intel proc, 1G ram…check out the HHGREGG website
is that netbook ok to use live ,has it given you any problems , whats the spec? like the scratching more please!
Mine's here:Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical IntelligenceEvery part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes. You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time. You are probably a gifted musician of some sort – even if you haven't realized it.Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds. You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer.Sorta sounds like we've all chosen the wrong profession… :p
This article is so true to my life in teaching with technology. I will integrate technology into my lessons when it can enhance the lesson and help the students learn the standards of the course. For example, students can use the Spark, a technology based probeware device to quickly and easily show motion on a graph. It gives them a visual aid that will be easily remembered.
I will only use technology when it is appropriate for the lesson and can help the students be successful in learning.

ohhhh,my good
